Question Laptop HDD SATA Cable

My laptop has a empty 2.5 inch hard drive bay but did not come with a HDD Sata Cable. Do any HDD Sata cables work or do I have to buy a specific one that for that specific laptop model ?

IF there is a cable, and not just a connector that the drive / caddy slides onto, then it will be proprietary and specific to that laptop model or model line.

I have only found a users manual which does not mention anything of the inside parts.

Perhaps post a couple of pictures of the area where the disk connects.

As VirtulaLarry said, usually the disk slides to a connector, OR there is a cable that connects to the disk and the motherboard.
There is no connector. It did not come with a cable. I was told that i have to buy it separately. But can I use other cables that are for other laptops like HP or DELL

They might work if they fit properly, however I advice you to buy the original.
