Laptop HD boot sector failure!!

I have a fujitsu MHM2100AT (10 GB) laptop hard drive and the boot sector seems to be damaged.
I connected it to a computer though a USB 2.5" adaptor and Windows said the whole drive was unallocated.

What software can I use to recover the data?
Do I need to get a 2.5" to 3.5" adaptor?

Thanks in Advance.

program called R-Studio at: www.r-tt.com will recover files as long as drive not physically damaged. Also try booting from diskette and doing: fdisk /MBR. Make sure the floppy was formatted with the same or later OS thats on your pronged drive and that the matching FDISK program is on there... If /MBR fails, you may need to recover as much data as possible to another media and then do a zero out with the factory supplied utility. Go to www.fcpa.com and look for downloads. You may have to DL Fujitsu's customized partitioning program that has the zero out function as an option. Fujitsu's HD uitls are at: www.fcpa.com/download/hard-drives/ .
