Laptop Hard drives

Hi

I have a new Compaq Presario laptop, but I've already killed the hard drive (6 gigs). I'm looking to add about 10 gigs. Can anybody give me the heads up on what a good price would be. I'm not looking for optimal speed, just some more space. There probably isn't enough room for a second hard drive, right?

Thanks

I don't know of any recent latptops that can take two hard drives. Your best bet would be to get an another 2.5" drive like the IBM TravelStar (4200RPM). they have 12GB models for under $200 shipped at MWave.com

Don't know about Compaq . . . but I have a new Gateway 9300 CX, and it has a removable module which can be, floppy drive, LS-120 drive, second battery or a second HDD. I opted to get the 2nd HDD kit . . . just slips in . . . another 20 gigs!

You can buy a replacement HDD such as a 12 GB Fujitsu for about $165 or so.
