Could you shine any light on which GPU you have? This would help as the TV-Out is another output extension of the GPU, just like your DB15 or DVI.

Heres what I know:

I have a Toshiba 2805-S301 Laptop P3 650Mhz 384 MB ram
My Video is S3 Savage/IX 8mb

Please don't tell me my comp is too slow or my video card sucks because I run XP very happily and I watch tons of
movies on my computer before with the TV-OUT and had NO problems with sound or video skipping.

When I had ME I could use my video out BUT now that I installed XP theres no option in the display panel to access my video out function.

I never said that your laptop was crappy. Mine is 750Mhz with 512MB of RAM and it runs Windows almost as fast as my Athlon XP 1700 with 1GB DDR!

I tried doing a Google search for drivers for that video card but I couldn't find anything. :( Sorry!

Doesn't look like there are winxp specific drivers, however there are win2k ones, and since the OS's are practically identical I'd try that.... just make a restore point before it just in case, but it should be fine as I've done this on a few different toshiba satellites.

Heres the drivers on Toshiba's site

Here's what I had to do when Compaq wouldn't update their ATI Mobility 128 (M3) drivers even though ATI had long provided them with the fix...

Look for a similar laptop with similar features (The driver may have specific features added or removed such as TV-OUT ;)) from another manufacturer and download their drivers. I got mine from Dell's Inspiron 5000e. Dell had no qualms about OS upgrades and accomodated me nicely through the years :)

Have you gotten drivers straight from S3??? That's going to be your best chance...

Another thought would be drivers from another brand lappy with the same video subsystem. The vid drivers should work regardless of the lappy manufacturer.

Are you absolutely positive that the option is not in there? Right click properties, settings, advanced, the tab with the options (Mine says Geforce4 42000), display mode, device settings, select output device.

Its really weird the driver pack I d/led from S3 website has 3 mini apps for the DuoView like for the taskbar and what not, However when I try to click them nothing happens, Also I tried using the emulate feature in XP but even that don't work. What really bugs me is I get SOUND from the TV-OUT and I noticed when I reboot if I have the TVout cable hooked to my TV, The tv flashes when it reboots as though it is getting a signal.

I just can't switch the output from LCD to TV like I used too. This is really starting to piss me off. I am 99% sure I have the XP driver the correct one but it just won't give me the option to switch over my output.
