I want to buy a laptop for $1200-1500 max. I will be gaming a bit , but it has to be portable i.e reasonable weight. i want to play games in high resolution. I'll be moving to Germany in 6months for studying. The service has to be good in Germany !!!!!!

Suggest you do not pre-ordain service for Germany. That can be done when you get there - probably Deutsche Telekom. The rest of your spec can be met by any number of brands and models, but I would look for one that has good service in Germany. I would be inclined to look at Lenovo's Carbon X1 with it's USB3 mini-docking station and the optional SIM slot..
