laptop gets really hot and LOUD

Hello I have the MSI gaming laptop and it gets very hot and VERY VERY VERY LOUD! (You can hear the fan noise next door) when I play games like CSGO and LoL. All on low settings btw. So I was wondering what is causing this problem? If it's the Graphics card then I can happily buy a new Graphic card, however how do I make sure that my graphic card is actually is causing the loud fan noise and heat? I am pretty sure I can upgrade my GC. Really appreciate the help.

I will do anything to fix my laptop. I'm not an expert when it comes to tech but replacing stuff inside a laptop shouldn't be a problem I think.

I lost my warranty btw.
 
I would reapply TIM for the CPU and GPU, and download ThrottleStop to prevent excess turboing.

Fixed all issues I had gaming on my Macbook Pro.

Ive applied thermal paste for both and still getting the same results. I have lost hope now. I don't know what to do anymore. 😕

I wonder if you can disable the dGPU in BIOS to test? Usually when you turn on your laptop after a cold shutdown, it will say "Press DEL/F1/etc. to enter setup" when your laptop boots with some options.
 
It's a gaming laptop and you are gaming so it's expected. As long as it is not throttling, overheating, then it's normal. I used to have a gaming laptop. A 2005 era Dell with a Nvidia 6800 graphics. It ran hot when gaming, but kept cool... VERY cool otherwise since it was a large 17" laptop and had a lot of heatsinks. My current 18" laptop also gets hot when gaming, but stays cool otherwise again because of the large heatsinks.

Chances are your GPU is heating up more than the CPU. I really can't think of any way to cool it other than put those fake ice cubes that are sealed where the air intakes are. Seriously... I do this sometimes on mine. It's a large pack of super ice cube replacements that you put in coolers. I put it underneath my laptop and it thanks me for it. 🙂

Put a check in "Clock Modulation" and use the down arrow next to 100%. Set it for 80% & try it. Find what works for you.
