I'm thinking of buying a laptop, primarily for work, but I'd also like to game on it. I'm wondering what I can expect from the various chipsets.
If I take the leap from desktop, I'll be getting a 17" model, probably a Dell. I'm not a hardcore gamer - mostly RPGs for me, but some of the newer RPGs can be tough on cards. I'd prefer not to spend the extra for an XPS if I can help it, and it seems like the top non-XPS chipset is the 7800 Go.
I'm coming from a 3200+ with a x850xtpe and a 19" LCD. How would a core duo 1.83 with a 7800 Go compare, in... say, WoW or SW:Empire at War?
