Laptop for viewing photos and videos?

I want a laptop. Needs to be between 13-14" no larger. I want it for the use of showing photos and videos. Needs good screen and good sound.

Macbook Air. Higher resolution screen than the competition, and better and brighter colors. I wish the PC makers would up their game and start putting higher quality screens in their laptops. That the MBA is the only 13" laptop available with a 1440x900 screen and everything else is 1366x768 is ludicrous.

I would agree on that but Apple is out of my price range of about $700

Unfortunately, with your budget, you won't find anything with a higher res screen unless you were to go to apple.com and pick up one of their refurbished Macbook airs.
