laptop for HD video and light gaming

I have never owned a laptop and know nothing about them, so i though id just ask here, since there is so much choice>_<.
Budget: under $1k AUD for 1080p video play back but can up it to about $2k for gaming.

Im actually looking for laptop replacement for my psp that i have been using for video playback, since I won't have to re/transcode videos to get them to work,it has gotten to the point where videos just don't want to play on it anymore, so something that can play back 1080p, mvks, x/h264,FLAC, blu rays videos. For gaming anything that can play civ5 on medium settings would be fine.

The screen size doesn't need to be 1080 but prefer it to big enough that details arn't too small too see and text/subtitles are easy to read but small enough that it doesn't chew into the battery life. Also like the screen to be glare resistant, which is a problem with my psp at times.

I would be like the battery to last about 4 hours for video play back and if possible to swap in a new one easily if it runs out, i tend to forget to charge my batteries at times >_<.
If ssd's increase battery life might consider it, if the price is right.
I don't intend this laptop to be a desktop replacement, Ill mostly use it while traveling and during work breaks.
I prefer it to run win7 for the os.
