Looking for a mobile warrior

I'm looking for a decent laptop for college. I don't want gaming to interfere with my studies so I'm not really looking for a gaming laptop. My gaming on the PC will be limited to emulators (SNES/N64/PS1) so I guess I'll need a low-mid vidcard. Currently looking at Dell, what models do you recommend? Which one is the best value for me? My mom pointed out http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?prodid=11044925 , how's that? Seems alright, but I really don't know jack about laptops. Also, what can I buy to prevent people from stealing my laptop? Any help/recommendations/suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd wait until closer to the start of school and pick up a Dell deal. You really won't be transporting the laptop to classes like you think you will be. It will sit in your dorm room most of the time.

As far as locking it up, I would but a laptop cable lock and lock it to something stationary in your room.
