Hi everyone,

First of all, if this question has been already answered on this forum, please direct me to it, as I was not able to find any similar threads.

Ok, so I have Samsung Chronos 7 laptop (model: NP770Z5E-S02UK). The problem is that the fan does not 'always' turn off when I go into sleep mode. I started to experience this problem when I upgraded to Windows 10 (previously it had windows 8.1).
When I go into sleep mode, the fan turns off and on intermittently. It feels like the fan tries to turn off but something is preventing it. This happens almost 95% percent of the time when I go into sleep mode. As a 'temporary' fix, I wake up the computer, and the fan goes high for a few second and then turns quiet. It is at this very moment when I again go into sleep mode the fan turns off as well.... otherwise if the fan is running and I again try to go into sleep mode, the fan does not turn off.
When I upgraded to Windows 10, the laptop brightness control was not working (samsung fixed that), however, they have not been able to solve this problem.
I have run SFC \scannow and it shows everything is fine. My drivers are all up to date. I use

So if anyone has a solution to this problem or any suggestions....please do tell.

Thanks!

Your laptop does not have the right acpi driver installed. You may not have a windows 10 acpi available in which case you can try installing the windows 8.1 driver.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I dont know much about ACPI drivers, however, I opened my device manager and there I found the different ACPIs in the system devices tab. I have the screenshot at the following link:

Does that mean, ACPI driver is already installed??
If those are the wrong ACPI drivers, how do I install the correct one (e.g. ACPI drivers from Windows 8 on my windows 10).

Thanks,

Br,
