Hey I am having trouble playing a DVD on my laptop. When I enter the disc, windows explorer can not browse it, it just says please insert disc.

Second on PowerDVD it says the disc is of unknown format.

I have the QSI DVD-Rom SDR-081 drive. Anyknow whats up?

The disc I am trying to play is also dual layered.

Do other discs (single/dual layer) work on the dvd-rom?

If so, then something's wrong with the disc you are trying to read. Check for scratches. You can also see if another dvd-rom can read it or not.
