the dvd-rom on my laptop works randomly, i mean i am trying to install suse 9.2, it always get hung up while loading the kernel, i had to try it like 20 times to get it to get into the install section. the drive just refuses to read the disc. it's happened with other discs too.

my laptop is ibm t22 900mhz with 256mb ram and 20 gb hd.
