So, I have an ECS G566X laptop that is really nice, however there is an issue. Whenever i go to play a DVD on it, wehter it be plugged in or not, the dvd will play fine for about an hour or so, until it begins skipping like mad. The dvd stops playing, and cannot resme play for a few hours. Im not sure what the problem is, the only thing i can asume is that its overheating. The only thing thats wierd is that the latop fan doesnt come no at that point, and everything else runs fine. I dont know what the deal is here, but all i know is that i am unable to watch full movie 🙁 Any suggestions as to what i can do?

thanks!

Install FanGUI to monitor temps and fan speeds. Other laptop specs will help. I can tell you anyways that Cyberlink PowerDVD always skipped. I got a new laptop that came with WinDVD 2000 and the skipping stopped. Try WinDVD.
