Ok so I'm going to be buying a new laptop soon, and what I want to do is this:

Have a dual monitor setup, but one of the monitors just to be a small TV so I can choose to watch CNN or whatnot on it (dont want to have to stream it online) if I want.

So the question is what all do I need to accomplish this? Dual output Video card? S-Video Out? I am hoping to buy an HP laptop if that helps, and will be getting some sort of docking station to go with my laptop if there is one available.

I run TV off a second monitor. I just use an ATI 650 TV Wonder card . I just open a window that has TV in it and while its in small size I slip it over to second display and then watch it like that or make it full screen. The new 650 card has PCI-E x1. I have the older card because Best Buy was/is selling them for $25 sometimes to clear them out (they usually seel for $85 - $130). Of course you don't need ATI. AverTEch and Hauppauge sell TV cards as well. I use free Multimon software as well for dualies. In any event, its not hard once you gt a TV card. Their are tuner cards for laptops as well.
