Hi, I was wondering if it were possible to run two external monitors from a notebook by only purchasing a docking station. I checked the specs for Dell's advanced port replicator, and it lists 1 x vga and 1 x dvi. If I keep the lid of the laptop closed, could I plug one monitor into each?
If not, I noticed that Dell had another port replicator that featured 1 x PCI. If I put a PCI video card in that slot, would I be able to accomplish my goal?
Note: I do not want to use the laptop display as a second monitor for uniformity reasons.
