My work has provided me with a Lenovo USB-C docking station for my ThinkPad. I'd like to setup a work station at home so I can quickly plug in my laptop without disrupting the desktop setup if possible. My desktop setup has two DVI monitors plugged into my GPU, a USB corded mouse/keyboard, and 3.5mm headphone. Can I incorporate the docking station so that I am able to use my desktop normally and just plug in the laptop to the docking station to "take-over" the monitors, keyboard, and headphones. I'm reading about KVM switches but they seem expensive for dual monitor output and would make the docking station mostly pointless. I am also considering a single monitor switch and just having one monitor dedicated to the desktop, and the second monitor could switch between the desktop and laptop. Does anyone have an idea how I can accomplish this?

Docking station is linked below.

Depends on your monitors, sorta. By this I mean if your monitors have extra inputs, then those can be used for the docking station.

As far as takeover goes, you would just have to switch inputs on the monitors when you wanted to use them.
