Laptop - Docking Station - Monitor & Resolution

Just got the wife a Dell, Studio 17. The native resolution on it is 1600x900.
I have a desktop monitor hooked to it via a universal docking station. The native resolution for the monitor is 1920x1080.
All I can get on the monitor is 1152X864. The desktop/icons are too big.

I think I have the display properties set up incorrectly. It shows 3 monitors.
It was a pain to get it working with the docking station.
What extra step did I take/miss?

TIA

I installed the dock drivers and the icon in the taskbar takes me to the display properties in the screenshot.
I don't get the same options as in your link:

It's something with the display settings. Now I lose my browser and mouse like I have dual displays. They go WAY off the screen.
I uninstalled the adapter and I am at 880X600. I'll start over from there.

No joy. I emailed Kensington. I was expecting a real docking station when I ordered this thing as a package from Dell. It may have to go back.
