Laptop display question

How do you get the desktop to show on both the LCD and the monitor attached to the laptop.

I have an extended desktop now. What i'm looking for is the same thing on both monitors.

On Win XP btw

Thanks.

What brand is your laptop? Generally there is a function key with a split LCD, i.e. on an IBM, its Fn F7. That gets you both the monitor, projector, whatever, and your lcd to display. It clones the desktop, and works good for presentations.
