laptop display good for anything?

my laptop mb is good as dead. however, everything else is still good.
is there a way i can rip the lcd panel out n use it for anything else?
here is the connector im seeing. but i have no idea how i can use it as a picture frame or as a secondary display.

Have you google for a replacement mobo for that laptop? It's not that hard to replace one or maybe even with an upgraded mobo and CPU!

nope. lcd controllers are too expensive

what you can do is strip the laptop for parts, and ebay them. people who fix things do need replacement bits.

brand new mobo is too $$$$
i think i can actually sell the parts n make a lot more money from them then selling the whole.

i saw some nice lcd controllers from earthlcd.com... but you're right, they are $$$. what gives?!
