Please excuse the low quality video

The video file - 3mb - you might like the free host too

*I had no other place to send the video ... the host I used allows very large uploads for free... anyone wishing to download the video has to wait for 30 seconds and then the page shows a downlink link

I received this laptop in the mail from a member here

It was packed pretty good.. USPS Insurance was purchased.. and they might try to help.. not sure of that yet.

My question is .. Has anyone seen this problem before and could it be an easy fix or would it probably take soldering or possible replacement of the motherboard??

I know it is very hard to tell without opening it up .. but just take a look at the video and see what you think...

It is not under any warranty.. I was waiting to speak with USPS before I opened it up.

Thank you in advance
:)

I edited the main post...

I may have it fixed.. took it as far apart as I could and then partially reassembled it.. .. it is working right now.. but that doesn't mean it will still work when all the screws get tightened down.. I actualy think the video card just wasn't connected tightly to the motherboard

actually .. if I apply any pressure to the connection between the radeon 9000 video card and the motherboard then the screen goes gray again :(
