Laptop crashes when I try to Standby after installing PCAnywhere :(

I've got a Sony R505 lappy with W2K (w/ latest updates, etc). After installing PCAnywhere, the system started crashing (wouldn't wake up) every time I used Standby. Hibernate still works OK, though. I tried uninstalling PCAnywhere but Standby is still broken

Is there anything I can do to figure out what the problem is?

I've got everything else running fine, and would really like to avoid a reinstall of Windows 2000, but I can't live without the Standby feature for much longer...
