Laptop CPU upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade the CPU on a laptop?

The one I am interested in upgrading is a Dell Latitude XPi CD 166MHz.

Any suggestions? I know iNTEL made up to 300MHz mobile MMX processors.

I dont think you can upgrade laptops but im not sure(I never owned one)

Yes, there are a lot of laptops that can have the CPU upgraded. I don't know about that model.

Do you know where I could find that info out? Dell's site doesn't really say...

you may be able to do a 233mmx,I dont think you could do the 300.Only a shop that sells lots of laptops,or does repairs on them can tell you.If you could get the docs on your system,motherboard,then you would be able to find out.Keep in mind that if you sold your laptop,you could buy the faster one for close to what you will be looking at.

True that makes sense... I just dont want to go through the hassle of selling it and buying another used laptop, because this one has all the features I want. Odds are that a higher speed one will have less features.
