Laptop Coolers - Important/Effective?

Are laptop coolers important and effective?...or just a waste of money?

I posted alot in that thread. I am still using the ByTecc, and am very happy with it. Just make sure you clean the dust bunnies if your laptop doesn't leave the cooler for awhile.
