reading compreshension. It was valued at 15,000 including all the software, data, etc that was on it.

He kind denses so don't mind him. In the working world, hardwares cost usually mean sh*t. It is the softwares/data/info that are truly valuable.

What kind of software do football players use that would cost over $10,000? Madden 2006? Adobe Playbook CS-UbErXXX? Get real, lappy gets stolen, claim it cost lots of money. Who knows though, maybe....

And Auburn will still beat you and your freshman QB (who will be scary good next year :) )

Well, your profile says Fayetteville, Arkansas :)

That QB will be a monster next year...especially if McFadden comes back(he is a Jr., right?).

Yes, McFadden is a junior. We also have a couple other true freshmen starting that should be good. One that is a WR and one that is our TE. Our TE, Ben Cleveland, has been great for us so far. He's the one that made that great one armed catch in the end zone in OT to help us beat Alabama.

dumb people. The coach sounds retarded too. $15,000 laptop? Please. If you could walk out with a $15,000 desktop, I would be surprised.. the amount of hardware in that thing must be insane to cost $15,000. I'm sure football game plans aren't stored in super-laptops and they surely don't need $15,000 of CPU power there. I mean a $15,000 desktop would have so many hard drives and video cards and CPUs that the tower itself would be humongous. You couldn't even carry that on your own too easily. Now a $15,000 laptop? Goodness....

I'd think it the other way around...

A laptop would cost much more than a desktop w/comparable specs. Especially if you had to shrink down everything you mentioned to fit...

That's true to a point, but once you reach the limit of what a laptop can have inside, you stop really being able to increase cost. There's only so much space in a laptop, you can't fit 4x dual core Opterons with 2x7950GX2's and 8 HDD's inside it.
(Whether the laptop really was $15k or not).

The laptop itself is inconsequential...the real value was in the playbook, gameplan, and software.

Why is this a difficult concept for people to grasp?

Houston Nutt appears to have that program headed in the right direction.
