Laptop + Cell Phone + Desire for the net = HELP ME!!!

Hey all,

Anyway so I just got a used IBM Thinkpad 600X that has a built-in modem. I also picked up a 10/100 PCMCIA NIC for it so I can connect at home through DSL or the office through the T1. A new company (Cricket Communications) has also opened shop here locally offering unlimited cell phone calls for a flat monthly fee. I would like to pick up on their offer and be able to connect to my ISP on the road. I know the service coverage of this Cricket place is VERY limited, but I mainly exist in the heart of the city, where their development should be concentrated I imagine...

So here's my question. What do I need to do this? Like where can I find some sort of cable that will connect to my cell phone and then the laptop? How is the dialing done? I just have lots of questions I guess because I don't want to get a Cricket phone + service and then find out I can't do this idea... So anyway, if you could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it... certain phones had cables that would conect to laptops available for them, that sometimes cost like 200 bux.

some phones have available a cable that will allow you to transfer your phone book to a pc..

I think they use a Nokia 5190 (or at least 51xx) as well as another phone but can't remember which. $200 huh? Well I'd do it if I could find it Thanx for the head's up though... Anyone else?
