laptop cd drive swap - help

i have a dell inspiron e1405 and need to know if a ND-6500A (cd drive) will be compatible.
i currently have the RX835E (does not burn dvds)

I don't know for sure but 9/10 times if you just remove the drive's face plate it will fit. Cosmetically, it won't look that nice; but it will function just fine. I've done this before on several laptops.
