I'm looking for a laptop case to hold the following:

A Dell Vostro 1500 (15.4'')
A Zalman NC-1000 Notebook Cooler
A set of Logitech V20 USB Speakers
and a Logitech v270 Bluetooth Mouse.

I'd like to be also to store the computer and the cooler in the same compartment, if possible, the case has to be black, and I would prefer that it open vertically.

I like this, but it appears I need a tad over 3'' in clearance for the computer and cooler. The specs on this case indicate 2.3'' of space in the main compartment... :-(

Comments? Suggestions?

I really would not like to shop for a case this way. You should have lots of local stores like Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.

Go there and physically look at what they have and have your measurements ready. There is more than just dimension. You need to look at design, material, feel, ease of access - carry-ability, etc. You also need to determine style - top loading briefcase, backpack, roll-on etc. All these things should be physically observed and evaluated.

Once you have the exact make and model choices narrowed down, then check out an on-line order and see what the total compares to including shipping, sales tax, etc. Take the best deal

I have had at least 6 cases, have three on hand at the present, and recently decided to go for a combo backpack that also carries my DSLR camera and related equipment in addition to my laptop and accessories.

Thanks for the advice. I took the computer and accessories down to BB and settled on a Targus Clamshell Platinum 300 Edition Notebook Case. A steal at $39.99. :)
