Laptop Buttons

The right mouse button and "wheel" middle button on my laptop sometimes have to be jammed pretty hard to get them to register. Is there anything I can do to make them function better (take off and use compressed air, alcohol, etc?) so that I don't have to hit them multiple times or really hard in order to work.
