Laptop boots, instant orange screen

Hey guys, I have a Toshiba Portege M200 laptop... Got it from a friend, said it had a screen problem... I've tried to diagnose it, but don't want to start replacing parts until I can figure out the exact problem...

PROBLEM: When turned on the laptop instantly goes to a orange screen. The laptop WILL turn on, I hear the HDD spin, CPU fan turns on, lights blink, yadda yadda but as soon as the screen turns on the dang thing is orange... An orange screen! What could cause this??? Bad screen? bad inverter? bad mobo? I doubt it's the inverter as the screen does not appear to be dim. I'm thinking a bad screen...?

Well the verdict is in! I think it's either a) bad video processor or b) bad mobo.

When connected to the external I plug it all up... Battery light turns on and starts charging, the light showing its connected to A/C power comes on... I turn the laptop on get a loud "BEEP!" and the external monitor turns on with a white screen and black vertical lines blinking on/off/on/off constantly. The row of lights continue to blink, turn on and the wifi light comes on, hdd light comes on, all the lil lights come on, hdd spins up, etc...

Not sure where to go from here.
