Question Laptop booting but getting stuck on logo

hope i find you well. i have an HP elitebook 745 G2. the laptop is switching on and getting stuck on the hp logo. i have check all the power and it seems ok and i have also tried different bios file and still it gets stuck on the logo. I then used a PC diagnostic card and getting the following error. Signal Error: check CPU and power box.

How were you able to use a diagnostic card in a laptop?

If it is getting stuck on the logo at boot, that sounds like it could be the drive failed. I would test that first, in another computer if need be.

The card has an option to connect it through the wireless card port connector where you connect your wireless card..

The hard drive is not connected at the moment as i was trying to eliminate everything. its just the screen, ram and board and nothing else is connected to it now.

Are you able to get into BIOS with the HDD removed? What about when it is installed? Also, are you able to run memtest86, or boot from any other USB drive?

i had not tried getting into bios without the hard drive but let me try it and let you know.

These are fixes for boot up problems on ASUS, but they could also apply to other laptop brands as well.
