laptop bios help please

i have a laptop built on the sis630 chipset with a tualain celeron cpu.
the bios is by a company called InSyde and it is pretty basic and fairly old
does anyone know where i can get an update to the bios for my laptop:
does it have to be the same company which provides the current one [the dont do end-user support]?
can it be chipset specific? [in which case where can i get one!]
