Laptop Battery?

What is the life expectancy of a laptop battery?

My laptop battery seemed to be charging a lot even after the laptop has been plug in for days.

i would say the avg. battery lifespan is about 1 -2 years. 2 years if you get lucky and this will also depend on how much you use it and how well you take care of it. laptop manufacturers usually will offer 2-3 year warranties on their laptops but the battery is often under warranty for only up through the first year. 🙁

1-2 years it wouldn't ussually be "dead" but it will have a much shorter time before needing a new charge. They cost $100-125 ussually.

It look like I will need a new battery soon after 1.5 year of use with the current battery.

With a voltage meter; I found out that I have 2 banks that is at 17v, a bank at 12v, and a bank a 8v.

Thanks

You'd get a lot more battery life if you simply REMOVED the battery from the notebook when it is on AC. 😉
