Laptop battery question

I recently bought a HP laptop, and purchased a Helios brand battery for a second one. The HP battery I got with it charged to 100% and recharging brings it back up to 100%. The Helios one initially charged up to 100%, but on recharging only comes up to 69%. I returned it for an exchange, and that one does the same thing, to 69%. Anyone have an idea what is going on here? Should I return it and get another HP battery???
Thank you....

Most laptop batteries have a calibration procedure where you charge, then run it - it fully discharges and recharges again. You may have to bite the bullet and get another H-P battery - laptops are very proprietary about things of that nature.
