Laptop battery life

I'm taking my laptop on a long flight tomorrow (Hawaii). While watching movies, will the battery last longer if I play the movies right off the DVD or should I rip the movies to the Hard drive first.

I would rip the movie onto the harddrive. Your harddrive is already running anyway, so why make it run your dvd drive also.

Your hdd is the best choice. The DVD only for new movies while there, if it rains.
