Laptop batteries

I am going to try and recondition the battery from my donated laptop (its quite dead). All the specs that I need for the reconditioner are on the battery... only kicker is that the battery has 4 terminals.... the one on the left is labelled negative, the two in the middle have no labelling and the one on the right is labelled positive. Do I hook up the conditioner to the positive and negative terminals? What do I do with the ones in the middle?
Anyone out there got ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Most likely those contacts are for sensors. Those batteries do have temperature sensors in them to make sure they don't overcharge or overheat during use.
