R&J sells barebones as well.

the last month's issue of CPU mag, or maybe month before last, may be of tremendous interest for you. it listed out a lot of vendors and basically opened my eye...

looks mighty interesting...

http://pcclub.com/

PC Club has some config-it-yourself laptops.

i don't know if that is what you mean by barebones.

i have had good service etc. from them for the
time-frame from about 2000 to 2003.

Thanks for the replies. R&J has the options I want, they just seem a little pricey. I will have to check out the CPU mag, to see if that provides any more info.

wwswimming: As far as what I mean by a barebone is I buy the parts, and assemble it myself. I have yet to see anyone sell laptop motherboards and enclosures yet so barebones are my only option to building my laptop myself.

Only down side to this all is that I don't think it is actually cheaper than buying a prebuilt.
