Hi all,

I have a Targus laptop backpack right now, which has room to store a LOT more stuff than just a backpack. The backpack is too wide though (where width is defined as the length it protrudes away from the back), and stuff floats all the way to the bottom, so what I end up having is a backpack constantly hitting people on the subway, etc., with really not that much stuff in it.

I'm looking for a new backpack that doesn't have as much "width", and perhaps a bit more padding/airflow for the back so my shirt doesn't get soaked if I'm walking around with the backpack in hot weather. Budget is not an issue, as I need to get something good.

Can anyone think of a backpack like this that can store a laptop, have room for some other stuff, but have "fixed width", so that it won't be so large on the back?

This is the one I use. I don't know what you mean by fix width backpack. I like my backpack :p

here's what I got.
I love it. Durable enough that I used it as a tool bag when I was working service in telecom. I swear this this uses Timelord technology. It always had a little room left.
