Laptop Appears Totally Dead - Please Help!

I have a Dell D630 and this morning I went to start it and it shows no signs of life. The battery seems fully charged but I also tried it with the cord and the docking station. It has been in my car all weekend with temps in the 20's but I leave it out there most weekends. It won't even try to start.

I noticed then when I put it on the dock the dock power button goes from yellow to off and pressing it does nothing.

I checked to see that the drive is seated properly and I am going to check the ram in a moment but normally it woul still try to post.

It worked Friday and the only thing is I traveled with it but I didn't drop it or abuse it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It mistake to leave it in the car while it is 20 degrees.

The Rechargeable Battery chemical are slowly destroyed from the low temperature.

The transition from very cold to normal 60-70 degree probably generate condensation that shorts and http://photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00IICdcorrodes the electrical circuits.

See if it will start with the battery removed on A/C only. Temps in the 20s are below the design limits for many components.

Nothing on battery, cord, or docking station. I don't think it being outside caused the issue in this case.

Try removing the battery, let the computer be for 5 minutes without it, and put the battery back in.

Thanks for the tip, but it looks to be dead. It's sat inside all day at my desk and still nothing. I will take one more crack at it before I ship it off to IT.

Luckily I was able to use a SATA to USB to get my data.
