hi,

i have a ibm t42, but it seems that i can only use vga (obviously) as an output. i'd like to utilize the full 1600x1200 potential of my dell 2001fp 20 inch lcd. however, running throug hmy vga slot at 1600x1200 is nasty. is there any way i can make it better? possibly by using a vga to dvi converter and use my dvi slot?

thanks.

No. You can't use an adapter - where should the digital signal come from? DVI-VGA adapters simply _use_ the analog signal from a DVI-I output. No conversion going on there.

And yes, notebooks tend to have bloody awful signal quality on their VGA outputs.
