  1. Overview of the problem
    I dropped the laptop. Every time I turn it on it shuts down at the windows loading screen. I tried reinstalling the OS as well and it does it again. I took out every piece and re-seat it in case the fall dislodged something.

  2. Full description of the problem and symptoms
    It shuts down even loading in safe mode. I tried rotating memory sticks as well. Loaded Bios as default.

    The laptop is Acer ferrari 4005 specs include:
    * AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-37(1MB L2 cache, 2.0GHz)
    Radeon Xpress 200M Chipset
    * 1GB (512MB installed in each of two memory slots) DDR333 SDRAM
    * 100GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive (5400 rpm)
    * Integrated DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive
    * 5-in-1 card reader for optional MultiMediaCard , Secure Digital card, Memory Stick , Memory Stick PRO or xD-Picture Card
    * 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) TFT LCD, up to 16.7 million colors
    * ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 graphics, 128MB DDR memory

    Any help please? If not what can I use to get the information off the HDD? I have my desktop I built that I can use to get information on to.

    Thanks in advance!
