So ive been thinking about droping 600ish bucks on a laptop for awhile now. Ive noticed that the dell machines are now more expensive, most likely due to the fact they all come with vista. Since im gonna put linux on this machine.. well i dont want to pay extra for something i dont want. So now im considering building one from the ground up. WHile i have put together many of desktops, ive never ventured into this realm before.
So my main question is: Is it worth doing?
And if so, how much of a pain is it?
Got any good how to sites?
And any good deals on a barebone laptop unit?
It just has to be dual core capable, amd or intel.
