laptop advice, worth $450 more?

I'm looking at HP7010us or HP 7140us these are identical except for:

2.8mhz 800mhz with hyper-threading and nvidia 5200 64meg dedicated on the 7140
and 2.6 533mhz nvidia 440 64meg shared on the 7010

Is this worth $450 more?

Everything else is the same please advice

Not to me it isn't. The extra mhz+hypertreading will barely be noticeable. The 5200 is a pretty crappy video card as well. Although both those items are "upgrades", I wouldnt do it.

whoa won't see a difference? That totally depends on what you do on your computer. the 2.8 800mhz w/ ht will give you a really nice speed increase. Especially if you're doing anything with video or just like doing a lot of stuff at once.

But still for 450 more, I don't think i would do it. Mainly because what I do on my laptop is completly different than what I do on my desktop. And so I do pretty much nothing on my laptop (papers, programming, movies, etc). But many people want to buy a laptop now that will "replace" their desktop, or get close to it at least.

So if you are the latter then you'll probablly want the better specs.. but 450 more.. depends on the total cost. Otherwise don't waste your money.

not worth 450 more...u gonna get tired of gaming on ur laptop and want to use ur desktop to game...

save the money and upgrade ur desktop or just pocket it...the most u do on a laptop is papers, arrays, data tables and the junk...

not worth 450 more
