Hehe, that's pretty light for a lappy at this cost :) Other specs look relatively low-end or avg though. This for (lack of) weight and the HP for performance, I guess.

Hmm, a Celeron CPU...

Better deal with this thread in my opinion:

EDIT:

After looking closer at the specs, I say that the thread I mentioned has a MUCH MUCH better deal!

Systemax is the parent company of Tiger Direct and Global Computer.

As far as their systems. The one I had briefly wasn't bad. 4.9 pounds for $800 is not to shabby even if it is a Celeron.

The HP weighs 7.25 lbs. Is it heavy, or just heavy duty? :D

Seriously though, if 2.35lbs difference is a big deal, I highly suggest seeing a personal trainer........

Amploud, lug something around that is 7.25 lbs through every airport and back and forth to the office for days on end. Then add the other files you need to carry, a briefcase, and everything else. Then, just like most mountain climbers, you will be looking to shed 2 lbs any way you can.

2lbs can be a big deal when you are carrying 25 in total all the time.

But I do agree 5 vs 7 is not.
