Lapping Questions

If your CPU is LGA775, it wouldn't have any pin at all. For best results, though, hold the PCB instead of anything else.

Note: Wear gloves.

For the push pins, use a pencil or some other objects that has a very small metallic pin to lift the black plastic clipper out a bit, then you can pull the black plastic piece out. After you've done so, it's pretty easy to remove the white plastic parts.

It's worth lapping both, but if you are not sure about your techniques, you are better off lapping none, as you might damage them beyond all recovery.

I read a few lapping articles, but alas this is my first attempt.
