Not a reasonable conclusion, based on the lack of sound and the missing video of what happened when she first parked in that spot.

If she's dumb enough to use her cell phone while driving, and not paying enough attention to her surroundings to see the cop and put the phone down, it's reasonable to assume she's not quite bright enough to follow the cops' instructions.

When they release the video from the cop car, then we'll have enough info to make that call.

Since she didnt use force to resist, I dont care for the fact she was beat to correct her lack of Bright.

Can you come up an example of what she would say that would make slamming her to the ground an acceptable response?

Perhaps she said she was a nurse and they should know who they are talking to?

Actually it's more reasonable to assume since she pulled over she wasn't going to resist arrest (most people don't). Add that to the fact the cops were suspended means their supervisors (who have access to the cop car video) didn't agree with the officer's handling of it.

Ultimately, you're right. Need more info.

OS ANGELES -- A Los Angeles Police Department commanding officer has been removed amid an internal investigation into a videotaped beating in which officers tackled a handcuffed registered nurse to the ground, police Chief Charlie Beck said Wednesday.

Beck said previously that he had "serious concerns" about the use of force against Michelle Jordan, 34, who was arrested in the Tujunga area on Aug. 21 after being stopped for talking on a cellphone while driving, police said.

Beck said at a news conference Wednesday that Capt. Joseph Hitner of the department's Foothill Division was "severely deficient in his response," Beck said.

"Proper steps were not taken, including appropriate notifications and the removal of the involved officers from the field," Beck said. "Because of these issues, I have removed him from his command and initiated downgrade procedures. Every Los Angeles police officer, regardless of rank, will be held accountable for their actions

so yeah i guess slamming a HANDCUFFED women to the ground can get you in trouble though not fired just demoted.

How much force does it take to not do what the cop asks you to do?
How much force does it take to make someone not physically resisting comply? It's obvious from the video she isn't fighting the cops, though should could have been not complying.

Surprise, surprise.

I'll basically echo my comments from the 'police are criminals' thread from a day ago:

Here's to you getting raped, 'cause you totally asked for it by leaving your house with exposed skin. Haha, hope your rapist goes free. Cheers.

Idiotic hypocritical bigots. Don't come whining when a cop tases you for sticking your tongue out at him. We'll give him a medal for inflicting pain upon a fucking dumbass.

she maybe behaved badly but officers should still use just the necessary force. And they shouldn't enjoy it because that just means they're time bombs waiting to do something worse.
Just think if he had a health problem and suffered something long term from this unnecessary action. That means huge lawsuit and huge amounts of tax-payer money being spent just because officers behave like wild animals. It's irresponsible.
I understand that they take insults and spits in the face all day from criminals, but that's what they get paid for, enforce the law while staying professional.
They should have stopped at pulling her out of the car and putting her down to the ground. No need to slam down cuffed people.

I have a problem with a male police officer man-handling a female suspect.

This case is what gives good police officers a black-eye.

I didn't say she deserved what happened to her. Why do you keep trying to argue things I didn't write?

The Chief of Police has almost certainly seen the dashcam video, before reaching that conclusion. HIS version of events is conclusive.

The version in the OP is NOT.

As a person who has eaten at both Del Taco and Taco Bell, IMHO Del Taco is the better place, which means the security cameras are probably also better.

Pretty much this, she's already handcuffed.
