I'm heading to Lansdowne for a conference in mid-late June and I'm wondering if anyone knows of anything useful to do around there (dinner or whatnot). I'll be in the conference during the day, but we need stuff to do in the evening I believe.

I've never heard of the place, but it seems as if it's close to D.C. I considered renting a car, but now I'm not sure I want to bother, so is there easy transport between the two places?

Anyone know this place? Google results are kind of weak.

I hear Virgina is for lovers. :hmm:

Thanks! :awe:

not near.. like 40miles to the west

rich folk live there. there's suppose to be a couple fancy restaurants in there.

if you're heading back to dc, there's the Crystal City restaurant in Crystal City (near alexandria)

google it (NSFW) :D

Heh, thanks, I'll check that out after I leave work. :sneaky:

Lansdowne sounds kind of lame and 40 miles seems a tad far to commute every night. :(

Surprisingly, the crystal city restaurant has pretty good food. A bit creepy eating in a strip joint though. Crystal City Sports Pub (just around the corner from Crystal City Restaurant) is a good sports bar and has better food.

I live in Manassas.

My suggestion is go straight to the heart. Eat dinner at a fancy place in DC.

Cool, thanks guys! I'm there during the week and decided not to stay for the weekend, but I figure I should have a bit of free time during the week to get away from the conference area.

Definitely going to try and check out that brewery. :awe:

Go to the Brickskellar in dupont circle, they have like every type of beer ever on tap.
Georgetown is a good area for night life too. Restaurants, music, bars.
