Lanparty SLI-DR Expert problems

The odd multipliers on this board do not seem to work (using a FX-55 chip). If I set the multiplier to even numbers (11, 12, etc) it boots fine but using 10.5 or 11.5 do not work at all. Anyone have any ideas? I googled around but found nothing.

which bios are you using? no help on dfi.street? and just curious, but why do you want to use a .5 multi?

I tried flashing to the 12/07/05 bios but it still shows me as 11/09/05. I've been using the winflash program and I used half multipliers because I have a good balance between cpu speed the fsb.

hmm. try to use a floppy and see if you can get it to flash. dfi bios are as finicky as their ram compatability. i never used the windows based flash utility.

Check this out: Link (basically says that 1/2 multis can screw up your oc)

I have used winflash to update my SLI-DR Expert bios with no problems whatsoever...

i didn't know you picked up an expert nate, congrats

yeah, i remember that thread and having toyed with .5 multis a bit some time ago, i was curious why he wanted to use them.

update for you guys, I switched to 290x10 and so far so good (sandra shows 8,000mb/s!)and the DFI street has been a valuable resource so thank you guys for the tip.

I used that bootable CD from DFI street with the different bioses but upon bootup it still shows me a date of 11/09/05, is there any way to confirm that the new bios took?

well color me noob, looks like the bios date was at the bottom of the screen, I was apparently looking at NVMM. Humming along at 290x10!
