In reference to this site, is this a joke or are they seriously trying to do this? Landover Baptist is in many ways very offensive to certain brands of Christianity, but even as a Christian myself I found the site amusing.

The Internet was created by the United States of America - a Christian nation [ref. 1, 2, 3] - and should not be used to spread anti-Christian, secular, or non-Christian propaganda and hatespeech. This is our Internet, and we should exercise our position as its owners and as the guardians of civilization to stop its misuse.
It is called freedom of speech dumbass.

Just curious... what if Landover Baptist were mocking some other relgion, like say Judaism? Would you feel the same way if it was Landover Shalom Synagogue?
Bear in mind, I disagree with the linked site, particularly their false and fabricated claim that the US was created as a "Christian nation" but I do think that all groups should have equal protection under the law.

I would say the same rules apply.

I don't care what they mock. They have freedom to do so.

I think the difference is that Jews don't prosyletize about their religions, and they don't denounce other religions as lies. It's the Christian way to proselytize, and while there's nothing wrong with that, they can't have it both ways. They can't spread their own ideas but not accept those of others.

The Landover Baptist Church does do the above actions. That, in my opinion, makes them a prime target for sites like this.

I'm pretty sure that this site is more meta-humor. Wouldn't surprise me if it's by the guys who do the Landover Baptist site.

?It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.?
- Patrick Henry, American Patriot

That's funny. Patrick Henry NEVER said this. At least, no one can find any original source for this quote. (meaning it's a false quote)

The fact is, rabid religious right history revisionist David Barton put this, among many other questionable and fraudulent quotes in his book "Myth of Separation."

The sheep keep repeating it over and over and over...

It's pretty sad how some people actually beleive that either of these sites is serious.

Some people have no sense of humor.

Yet, this entire site is so ridiculous that I can't quite tell whether it is a joke or not.

i would. one of the many reasons this nation is great is the citizens rights to freedom of speech.

If none of this works, we must inform the authorities of this obvious instance of anti-Christian hate crime, which is illegal in most areas. If it isn't illegal, we must pressure our congressmen to make it so!

Anyone else find this more than a little creepy?

Landover Baptist claims to be a church. Moreover, they claim to be the only church in America that understands the Bible! In fact, neither is true. Landover Baptist is a fraud. A joke. Their true purpose is not to spread the Gospel of our Lord, but to trick people - especially those who have not received the Word and Salvation or have been programmed by secular culture to distrust Christianity - into believing that Christianity is evil and rejecting it.

If that site slamming Landover Baptist is real, they must cater to some pretty stupid people if there is even the possibility that they believe Landover Baptist is real.
