Land of the Dead

I was totally not interested in seeing this film because I figured it'd be like every other zombie movie, but low and behold it's actually getting a fresh rating on RT! I guess I'll give this one a try tonight.

this is pissing me off... my wife, my canadian, and I all have a plan for when zombies come, but NOT when they can communicate and use weapons

I have to re-think everything now

yeah.. saw the RT reviews as well. imagine that, catching good reviews by being a gorefest alone. might watch it tonight.

Going to see it today. I am a pretty big fan of Romero's zombie flicks, so this ranks up there with Star Wars to me.

Same here, seeing it tonight also. Loved the Dawn Of The Dead remake, BTW.

And yet, you aren't kind enough to provide a link, when you were obviously there...

Are you talking about the "Coupling cast" English re-make "you've got red on you" version?

How many zombie movies have "of the dead" in their name?

Do you know who George A Romero is?

Isn't he like the grandfather of zombie movies?

Yes... all the 'of the dead' movies were from him. Dawn of the Dead. Day of the Dead. Night of the Living Dead (actually my fav zombie flick)

I like the old ones - they run 'em on SciFi every once in a while (corny as hell now, I know. But I still like them 🙂 ). I might actually go see this one.

His Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead had 100% ratings on RT. Day of the Dead got in the 80s.

Yeah, i LOVED Night of the Living Dead... just a great story: various strangers all make it to some house on a farm. They don't know what's going on, only that there are zombies and they need to fend them off. I'll defintely love to see a remake of this.

There was a remake of Night of the Living Dead in 1991 but it pretty much sucked. The Romero originals are the only good zombie flicks IMO, with the exception of Shaun of the Dead and Return of the Living Dead (which were parodies). Also Evil Dead (if you can even consider that a zombie flick).
